- RCRA
- Resource Conservation and Recovery Act — the federal law governing hazardous-waste generation, transport, treatment, and disposal.
- SNC (Significant Non-Complier)
- EPA's flag for a facility with the most serious, ongoing compliance problems, based on violation severity and duration.
- TSDF
- Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility — a site permitted to treat, store, or dispose of hazardous waste.
- LQG / SQG / VSQG
- Large/Small/Very Small Quantity Generator — RCRA size classes based on how much hazardous waste a facility generates per month.
- ECHO
- EPA's Enforcement and Compliance History Online database — the source for facility identity and compliance-summary data on this site.
- NAICS code
- North American Industry Classification System — the standard code used to categorize a business by its primary industry.
- Open violation
- A recorded violation with no resolved date on file as of the latest EPA snapshot.
