Who can claim a listing

Anyone representing the business operating a facility can submit a claim from that facility's profile page ("Claim this listing"). We don't currently restrict claims to a specific title or role at the company — the review step below is where we check the submission makes sense, not the form itself.

What claiming changes

A claim lets you add a description, contact email/phone, website, logo, and a list of services to the public profile. It does not change any canonical regulatory data — permits, violations, evaluations, and compliance status stay sourced only from EPA and are never editable through a claim. See Methodology.

Review process

Every claim is manually reviewed before it goes live — nothing you submit publishes automatically. Today that review is a judgment call by our team against the information submitted (does it match a real, plausible operator of that facility), not an automated identity- or document-verification system. We may reject a submission that looks implausible or contact you for more detail before approving it. We aim to review new submissions within a few business days.

Resubmitting or updating a claim

Submitting the form again for the same facility replaces your previous draft — you don't need to wait for a rejection before correcting and resending.

No paid relationship, today

Claiming a listing is free and does not currently unlock any paid placement, ranking boost, or "verified" badge beyond what's disclosed elsewhere on the profile.
